The excursion includes a visit to a private house in a Bulgarian village and feast with home made dishes and drinks. At the end of the stay if the guests desire can dress with Bulgarian national costumes and take pictures with the householders.
The excursion includes a trip to Sozopol and sightseeing. Sozopol is a little picturesque city with narrow streets and typical old houses. It is the oldest city on the Black Sea coast, established 610 В.С. as a Hellenic colony (“polis”) by Milesian Greeks and is called Apollonia Pontica. The first settlement is founded at the end of IV – III century B.C.
THE ROPOTAMO RIVER, SOZOPOL
The excursion includes a tour with a small boat in the “Ropotamo” Reserve. It is one of the most attractive sites in this territory, situated 15 km away from the city of Sozopol, around the mouth of the Ropotamo River at an area of 1000.7 hectares. It is famous for its wild nature, the combination of various natural phenomena and dynamic relief.
SLIVEN & ZHERAVNA, “THE BLUE MOUNTAINS” – FULL DAY
“The Blue Mountain” – a vehicle drive along the southern foothills of the eastern Balkan range. Visit the small mountain village of Zeravna where time stopped in the 19th century and Sliven – the first Bulgarian town ever to industrialize, known for its history, wine and crystal.
Today Jeravna is famous architectural reserve. The village has preserved its authentic appearance since the Bulgarian national revival – narrow streets with cobblestone pavement and wood houses on on1 or two floors, surrounded by stone walls. Some of the houses are old more than 300 years. Jeravna is a little Bulgarian village with ancient Bulgarian Renaissance architecture.
Excursion to the third biggest city in Bulgaria with a visit to the Dolphinarium – a show with dolphins, and free time in the city.
Optional tour – Varna & Rock Monastery (Aladja Monastery) & The Stone forest – one day trip.
VARNA, “ROCK MONASTERY” & “THE STONE FOREST”
Excursion start with trip to the third biggest city in Bulgaria – Varna. Then you will be visit sightseeing in the area “Pobiti kamani” – rock formations, originated more than 50 million years ago and the Aladja monastery, built in the rock.
Balchik stays 29 km. north of Varna and 19 km. from Kavarna. This is an ancient town which has been inhabited even from the Thracian tribes. Later on some Greek settlers came and have been so impressed by the natural beauty of this place that they have established their own town, named “Dionisipolis” from the Greek god Dionissius.
GOLDEN SANDS, ALBENA
Golden Sands (Zlatni Piasaci) is one of the oldest and popular sea resort on the Bulgarian coast. It is just 18 km. north of our sea capital Varna on a picturesque bay. Zlatni Piasaci is declared a reserve area since 1943. Its territory covers 177,13 hectares. The unique combination of the mild climate and sea water.
THE AREA OF THE “WONDERFUL ROCKS”
Situated on the right bank of Luda Kamchiya River near the village of Asparukhovo are the “Wonderful rocks”, exceptionally beautiful and impressive rock composition with pointed, high cones and pyramids peaks. Seen from a distance they resemble the ruins of an ancient castle. There are three tunnels under The Wonder Rocks, which were used in the past.
VELIKO TARNOVO, TSAREVETS
This cultural and historical complex is one of the most impressive and remarkable historical symbols for Bulgarian. More than 200 years old town of Tarnovo, is one of the ancient Bulgarian towns. Tarnovo has inherited centuries of prehistoric, Thracian and ancient culture.
SHIPKA, ARCHITECTURAL-ETHNOGRAPHIC COMPLEX “ETARA”
The excursion includes a visit to the peak of “Shipka”, which stands as if from the rock bosom of the mountain and where raises the Monument of the Freedom. On Shipka Peak there is the “Monument of Freedom” (31.5 m. high). a bone-vault monument of Russian soldiers and Bulgarian volunteers who fell in fierce battles to defend the peak.
KAZANLAK – THE VALLEY OF THE ROSES AND THRACIAN KINGS – FULL DAY
The rose, queen of flowers is one of the symbols of Bulgaria. For centuries Bulgarians have planted roses, picked their flowers and extracted their heavenly essence – attar of roses. The rose, this marvellous gift of the land, is admired and used in perfumery.
MELNIK, THE MONASTERY “RILSKI”, RUPITE
The excursion includes a visit to the biggest monastery in Bulgaria – its overall area exceeds 8 800 sq. km., of which the inner yard is 3 200 sq. km. In the creation of the frescos and fretwork participated the most distinguished at that time Bulgarian icon-painters and wood-carvers. For many centuries being a stronghold of the Bulgarian spirit, it stands today.
NESSEBAR – THE OLD CITY
The excursion includes a visit to Nessebar and sightseeing on the picturesque peninsula and the old city with its numerous churches. Nessabar is one of the oldest towns not just in Bulgaria but in Europe. It was known as Messemvria during the ancient ages. The town is situated 30 km north of Burgas./p>
